Yummy Milk Honey

Milk & Honey – 5495 Cascade Rd Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30331

Black History Month continues, and I am continuing to feature black owned brunches across the city!

Atlanta is a mecca for black professionals and talented black chefs are no different.

I had the pleasure of visiting Milk & Honey, owned by award winning Chef Sammy Davis.  Chef Davis has been featured and WON on the Food Network’s hit show Chopped. Some of the dishes on the menu were ones that he actually prepared on the show!

The restaurant specializes in brunch. It’s only open during breakfast and lunch hours on the weekends, but is open until 9 or 10pm Monday – Friday. *Check their website for exact hours.*

The brunch menu is limited, but all of the items are extremely appealing. It’s not hard to find something to try.

I decided on their Georgia Peach Cognac French Toast, and my mother and aunt decided on the Crab Hash. We also enjoyed a beautiful orange, cranberry mimosa carafe.

All of us were so pleased with our meals!

The french toast was one-of-a-kind! I should mention that the cognac is so significant, only kids can order the meal, BUT, it wasn’t overwhelming. It blended perfectly in the caramel syrup-like sauce.

My mother and aunt, who are pretty picky *I mean HEALTHY* eaters even found something on the rather rich menu.

They both decided to try the Crab Hash, one with cheese and one without. They LOVED it!

Jumbo lumped crab topped perfectly cooked hash browns and a tomato cheese mix. It also came with a Cajun cream sauce that made the dish standout (trust me, I tried it – it was BOMB).

If you’re in the mood for a well done brunch with plenty of soul, definitely stop by Milk & Honey!

I can’t wait to get back and try their chicken biscuits and grab another carafe full of tasty champagne!

Once you visit, comment below and me know about your experience at Milk & Honey or tag me in a photo on Instagram!

Below are some tips to help you have the best experience.

Location: The restaurant is located right at the corner of Cascade & Fulton Industrial. The parking is plentiful as it’s in a shopping center, however depending on how busy all of the establishments are, it may get congested.

Service: The service was spectacular. We had a sweet server named Dre. Expect a wait! It’s packed during prime brunch hours (it died down by 1/2pm), so you will spend some time at the restaurant.

Savings: They have discounted prices on menu items during weekday lunch hours! Also, the carafe of mimosa is only $25, and is plenty to share for up to 4 people, although my mom and I did just fine taking it down by ourselves 🙂
